The adventure concludes with an unforgettable full-day safari in the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, the world's largest intact volcanic caldera and one of Africa's most celebrated wildlife destinations. Descend over 600 metres onto the crater floor in a 4×4 safari vehicle to search for the legendary Big Five—lion, leopard, black rhinoceros, elephant, and African buffalo—alongside zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas, flamingos, and countless other species. Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania

Welcome to Africa! Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Moshi, a lively town at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro. The rest of the day is dedicated to preparation, relaxation, and building excitement for the adventure ahead.

Activities: Meet your professional guides, complete final bike fittings and mechanical checks, review the route in detail, and attend a comprehensive safety briefing. You will also have time to organize your gear, hydrate well, and enjoy your first evening in Tanzania.

Day 2: Moshi Town to Marangu Village

Distance: 50 km | Elevation Gain: 850 m

The Ride: Begin your journey at the gateway to the mountain, cycling through lush coffee estates, banana groves, and traditional villages on the fertile lower slopes of Kilimanjaro. This is also a great day to learn more about Chagga history, traditions, and daily life.

Day 4: Marangu to Lake Chala

The Ride: Leave the mountain forests behind and ride toward the striking volcanic landscapes near the border of Tanzania and Kenya. The route gradually opens into more dramatic and dry scenery. Day 5: Lake Chala to Rongai Village

Day 11: Longido to Kitumbeine

This area is well known for its cultural diversity, colorful local life, and excellent fresh produce.

Day 14: Ngorongoro Crater Safari and Departure

On Day 14, your adventure transitions from cycling to a classic safari experience as you descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Early in the morning, you travel down the 600-meter-high crater walls into the world’s largest inactive volcanic caldera, a breathtaking natural amphitheater filled with diverse landscapes such as grasslands, forests, swamps, and soda lakes.

Once on the crater floor, you enjoy a full-day game drive in one of Africa’s richest wildlife habitats. The area is famous for its high concentration of animals, including the Big Five—lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and the rare black rhinoceros. You may also see hippos, zebras, flamingos, and many other species, often at very close range due to the crater’s enclosed ecosystem.

At midday, you will stop for a picnic lunch at a scenic site inside the crater, surrounded by wildlife sounds and stunning views.
