Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, tourists will be picked up and transferred to their hotel for rest and relaxation or to explore Moshi town and the surrounding areas. If you’re already in Moshi, don’t worry—our team will meet you and be ready to start the planned itineraries. Alternatively, we will transfer you to one of our selected lodges, where you’ll receive a short briefing about the safari itinerary.
DAY 1: MOSHI – TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, we will pick you up from your hotel in Moshi or Arusha and drive to **Tarangire National Park**. Along the way, you’ll pass through small towns and rural areas, offering a glimpse into everyday life in Tanzania. Upon arriving at Tarangire National Park, we will begin a game drive on the same day. Tarangire is known for its iconic baobab trees and a large population of elephants and giraffes, alongside a wide variety of other wildlife. This park is an excellent choice for game viewing, as the Tarangire River, the only water source in the area, attracts large groups of animals to its banks.
The abundance of wildlife along the riverbanks makes game viewing especially rewarding. Game drives will continue until late afternoon, after which we will head to the nearby town of Mto wa Mbu for dinner and an overnight stay. Accommodation options include camping or lodges, depending on your booking preference.
DAY 2: NGORONGORO CRATER– MOSHI
After breakfast, we will journey to the stunning **Ngorongoro Crater**, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Tanzania’s most famous safari destinations. Today’s itinerary includes a five-hour game drive. While the national park is relatively small—measuring just 20 kilometers in diameter—it is renowned for its incredible density and diversity of wildlife.
During our game drive, we expect to see a variety of animals, including elephants, black rhinoceroses, leopards, buffaloes, zebras, warthogs, wildebeests (gnu), Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles, and the world’s densest population of lions. We will also visit Lake Magadi, a shallow soda lake surrounded by extinct volcanoes. This lake is a haven for large flocks of pink flamingos, offering breathtaking views. Later in the afternoon, we will depart for Moshi, Arusha, or Kilimanjaro International Airport, or transfer you to your hotel—marking the end of our 2-day safari package.
