Chagga Tribe and Its Historical Background:
The Chaga are believed to have descended from various Bantu groups who migrated to the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro around the start of the 11th century. They were among the first tribes in the area to convert to Christianity, which provided them with better access to education and healthcare compared to other ethnic groups. The Chaga territory is traditionally divided into several chiefdoms, each governed by a chief known as Mangi.
Chagga Tribe and Its Cultural Practices:
The Chaga follow a patrilineal system of descent and inheritance, with their lifestyle primarily centered around agriculture.
