Our day tour cycling will start from your hotel in Moshi, passing through Shanty Town. If the weather is clear, you will enjoy a magnificent view of Kilimanjaro. We will continue to Kwachange Point and then turn off-road to the expansive coffee plantations known as Chibo Estate, crossing through beautiful areas where coffee and bananas are grown.
After returning to the tarmac road, we will cycle through Mweka Village, which is still surrounded by famous coffee farms. As we meander past streams and thorny areas, you will have excellent views of Kilimanjaro. Along this route, we will pass the Karanga River towards Kibosho Hospital and Kirima Village, where you will find a small rural shopping center.
On Tuesdays and Fridays, there is a local market here, providing a chance to see and interact with local people. We will cross farms growing bananas, coffee, and tomatoes along a winding path that leads to stunning views while crossing many rivers until we meet the larger Kikavu River further down the mountain. Both rivers are vital water sources for local residents and are extensively used for agriculture. We will continue biking past Mshara Village in the Machame area to an excellent viewpoint for enjoying breathtaking views of Kilimanjaro's two main peaks: Kibo and Mawenzi.
After lunch, we will cycle downhill, crossing streams and rivers from Kilimanjaro through small villages in Machame. We will gradually descend until we reach the main road between Moshi and Arusha before cycling back to Moshi town.
