Lake Chala is a unique caldera lake, and is thought to be the deepest inland body of water in Africa. This lake is fed by underground springs from Mount Kilimanjaro. The lake has a great diversity of life. From lush lake shore forest to stunning volcanic savannah; from river beds marvelously carved through ancient rock, to thick bush or open. Walking at Lake Chala is a magical experience that will put you back in touch with nature.
Chala has a huge variety of amazing trees, grasses and plants; some are unique to the area. According to the time of year there are hundreds of species of butterflies and birds, including spectacular birds of prey. The African Fish Eagle, with its hunting techniques, Verreaux’s Eagle, Augur Buzzards and many other species of birds can be seen around the crater walls.
A Wild mammals do varies from monkeys to baboons again from dik-dik to kudu, to elephant. Chala is an untouched part of a truly ancient land and a must visit place. The lake is located in a stunning volcanic area on the eastern slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. Depending on the time of year, its colors range from a vibrant turquoise to a rich emerald green, reflecting a timeless beauty that is etched in Tanzania’s soul.
Tourist will be picked up from hotel or hostel in Moshi at a given time and drive to Lake Chala, the lake chala itself will be the full day trip, time up to 4:00pm approximations then you will drive back to your accommodation in Moshi and will be the end of our tour package,

1: Mount Kilimanjaro day hike up and down ($150 Per Person)
This will offer the tourist a walking under montane rain forest, look for towering Eucalyptus trees, bird life, and Colubus monkeys, blue-black monkey, sometime dik dik, bush duikers, White-Tailled mongoose,Marh mongoose, Bush baby/Galagos White-nicked raven and many others.
Note that; at these lower elevations sometimes, it can be wet and muddy as it named rain forest, sometimes Shorts and t-shirts should be sufficient, always keep your rain gear and warmer clothing handily with you from starting to the end.
Our destination of this climb is Manadara hut 2730m after get in Mandara hut tourist will sign in and then we will have the opportunity extentional walk to Maundi Crater which offers views of North-East of Tanzania then likely to see lake challa that situated between the border of Tanzania and Kenya, after that we will go back to Mandara hut for lunch and little rest before we start hiking down to the Marangu gate that will be the end of our package. Then transfer back to the Moshi town.
2: Materuni Waterfalls and Coffee Tour: ($85 Per Person)
Materuni waterfalls is a incredible booming waterfalls located closed to Moshi town just 15-kilometers and 45minutes drive from Moshi Town , the area can be reached as bike day tour.
Tourist will have the opportunity to stand underneath the waterfall, even jump off one and go swimming in the refreshing water, at the bottom of the waterfalls through typical river, vegetation’s in a neighborhood of coffee and banana trees all over round, The waterfalls is almost more than 80 meters high.
When combined with a coffee tour in the village, it makes for a perfect day trip on your free day before or after your Kilimanjaro climb or wildlife safari. The tour begins by observing the entire process of making a cup of coffee, from seed. After a locally produced lunch, you head off to explore the Materuni Waterfall.
